NDWF AUTO/CASH BANQUET: ANOTHER GREAT EVENT! SEE WINNERS LISTED BELOW.
HUNTER ED CLASS: JUNE CLASS SCHEDULED BELOW. MARCH VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTORS NOT LISTED IN APRIL NEWSLETTER: Dennis Helland, Karl Helland, Dale Veselka, Bruce Nielsen, Dave Hancock and testing helpers; Kelly Chase, Lane Chase, Mick Retterath and Jerry Noeske. Thanks to you all!
PERCH SPAWN HOOPS: Accomplished and planned to get out more this year at Lake Ashtabula on time with water temperatures. George Freadhoff (Lake Users Assoc.) is coordinating this with interested cabin owners at the lake.
NDWF SPRING ADVISORY MEETINGS: Changes to be seen in deer licenses this year, there may be a limited antelope season for 2014 and elk tags are an issue.
RALLY IN THE VALLEY: Same weekend as our Walleye Tourney: BCWF would like to be the organization to sponsor the ‘ducky race’. Needs are a committee that is available from our club membership for the following requirements: chairperson, computer ability, selling ducky certificates, canoes/boats with water experienced people, catch netting at the 4th street bridge and scrubbing the duckies clean for next year. Funds made are shared with sponsors. If anyone is out there to step up for this event, contact Perry 490-1797.
FOX LAKE: An access should be installed on the east side with cooperation from the Township Board and BCWF. We are so thankful for this water access and let’s all make sure that everyone respects it!
INDOOR ARCHERY RANGE: We are still looking for a location. Contact Neil Pederson 840-0173.
PHEASANT CHICKS…ARRIVING THURSDAY, MAY 29TH…5 PM AT DAKOTA PLAINS. Be there on time to reduce stress on the birds and we thank you raisers for helping to bring back the population.
FUTURE FOR HUNTING CONFERENCE…MAY 31 IN BISMARCK; if anyone is interested call Perry 490-1797 or Richard Monson 840-2610 for details. A growing concern for a growing State and we are staying on top of it!
VCSU SCHOLARSHIPS will be awarded at the May meeting to: Brandon Wegner, Joshua Wert and Jacob Wendel!

VC TRAP CLUB IS NOW OPEN EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT. Just south of VC on the Kathryn Road. Skeet shooting, Trap, open and league shooting. They will use white clays under lights after dark if there is interest.
GAYLON HANSEN YOUTH OUTDOORS DAY is May 31. WE CAN REALLY USE A FEW MORE VOLUNTEERS!
If you can spare this Saturday morning to help kids enjoy and learn going through a number of mini-classes please call

TAKE A KID FISHING DAY…JUNE 7TH…Goose will be requesting his committee at the May meeting, please be there to volunteer! We dress for the weather and last year was nasty. I predict a beautiful day this year.
SUMMER YOUTH CAMPS…
BCWF will pay 75% of camp cost for interested youth (they do not have to be club members!). Parents plan now, but you need to contact our Club Coordinator KELLI BJORNSON 490-1440/646-6842 for the details. She hasn’t received all info yet and both camps are the first full week in August.
