The hunt and raffle were held on Saturday January 25,2020. There were 12 teams, with a total of 23 hunters. The teams could be made up of 1-3 members. There were a total of 5 coyotes brought in.
The first place team with a total of 4 coyotes was Eugene Sandness, Rob Sandness and Keith Hample.

The second place team with 1 coyote was tatem Brandt, Jarod Miedma and Nathan Schmidt. Then 3rd through place team prices were drawn for.

Hunter Education will meet at VCSU on February 17, 18, 20, 24 and 27th from 6:00pm-9:30pm. Must attend all days of class to pass. If you do not attend, you may lose the opportunity to enroll for a year. *Students under the age of 18, please have your guardian come in the first evening of class to sign the Student Registration Card.

Landowner Appreciation Supper and Membership Drive- Is January 8th at 6 pm at the Valley City Eagles Club. Please invite landowners.
Election of Directors- The election of directors took place at the December Meeting. Swampy decided to get off the board after many years of service. Derrick Rogers was nominated to take his open spot. A unanimous vote was cast for Derrick Rogers, Matt Sorenson, Jay Holm, and Levi Robertsdahl.
Winter Derby- We had to cancel this year. There is less ice than normal and standing water and slush on top of the ice.
Pheasant Tail Contest – The pheasant tail contest will take place before the January Meeting. Please bring in the entire tail section from the pheasant.
2020 Budget- The budget was presented at the December Meeting and approved by the membership.
Picnic Shelters- Matt Maresh spoke with the Votech Center about having some picnic shelters built for BCW to put at Moon Lake and Faust Park.
Sheyenne Valley Calling Contest- The calling contest will be January 18th and the gun raffle tickets are available for sale. Perry would like you to turn the tickets in to him at the membership drive.
BCW Predator Hunt- The BCW Predator hunt will be on February 1st
Deer for the Food Pantry – There were 3 deer donated at the time of the December Meeting.
Hides for Habitat- The hides have been picked up and there will be a 50/50 drawing at the next meeting.
Winter Show Booth- The club will be having a booth at the Winter Show again this year.
Big Spender Banquet– The banquet and raffle will be April 4th. This year there are 10 Henry rifles on the ticket in place of the Redlin Prints.

Buck Show – The 36th annual buck show went well. There were 29 entrants in the senior division, 14 entrants in the junior division, and 5 non-eligible entrants. Congratulations to Bruce Nelson for winning 1st place in the senior division and Kassidy Wendt for winning the junior division. TJ would like to thank everyone that volunteered their time and effort to make the buck show run smoothly.
Sheyenne Valley Calling Contest- The calling contest will be January 18th and the gun raffle tickets are available for sale.

Hunting Land Available for Youth- Randy Koch has offered to let youth deer hunters use his stand if they would like. It is located by Bay Shore and has easy access. If you are interested please contact Randy, 490-1699.
Deer for the Food Pantry – If you would like to donate a deer you can drop it off at Valley Meats.
Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs – The Corp has closed both lakes for winter activity this year.
NDWF Convention- The convention will be January 3rd and 4th in Bismarck. Contact Perry if you are interested in attending.
