Next Meeting/Christmas Party…Wednesday, December 10th…Eagles Club

Social 5:30… Hors d’oeuvres at 6:00…Meeting at 7:00

Election of Directors- The election of Directors will take place at the December meeting. If you are

interested or would like to nominate someone, let Perry or another board member know.

BCW Fun Night – We had a great turnout! Thank you to everyone that came out and supported the

club and thank you to all the business that donated to make the event possible.

Buck Show- Congratulations to Erik Nelson for 1st place in the

Senior Division and to Brady Broten

for 1st place in the Youth Division. We had 22 entries this year. We would like to thank all the

volunteers that helped make this event possible and thank you to everyone that brought their deer

out. The full results are below.

Membership Drive & Landowner Appreciation Supper- The event will be January 7th at the Eagles.

NDWF Convention- The convention will be January 9th and 10th in Fargo. If you are interested in going, please let Perry know.

Pheasant Tail Contest – The pheasant tail contest will take place before the January Meeting. Please bring in the entire tail section from the pheasant.

Fingal Wildlife- Their Membership Drive and Meal will be January 16th

Winter Derby – The Winter Derby will be January 24th in Sibley.

Sheyenne Valley Calling & Raffle Contest – The hunt and raffle are scheduled for January 17th. The raffle tickets will be available at the next meeting. If you won’t be at the meeting, but are

interested in selling tickets contact Perry.

BCW Predator Hunt- The hunt will take place on 2/7.

2025 Buck Show

Congratulations to Erik Nelson and Brady Broten for winning the Jr and Sr divisions at the BCW Buck Show. We’d like to thank everyone that brought their deer out for everyone to see. It was great to see the Jr entries were up from last year, with 9 entries this year. We’d also like to thank all the volunteers that help make this event possible.

Next Meeting …Wednesday, October 8th…Eagles Club

Free burgers for paid members at 6 PM…Meeting at 7 PM

BCW Fun Night – We will be having the fall banquet and auction on Saturday November 1st at the Valley City Eagles.  If you can help out that night let Perry know.  There will be a signup sheet for requesting donations at the October meeting. If you are interested in helping to request donations email barneswildlife@gmail.com or contact Josh 840-5269. This is a major fundraiser for the club and any help with this would be appreciated. 

Hunter’s Ed– Todd Paintner gave a report, they had an online course for the first time, 23 students completed the class.

VC Trap Club- Lewis Legge gave a report.  The archery range has been busy, 13 kids and 6 adults shooting archery.

Take a Kid Fishing- Scott Tichey gave a report, 30 kids came out. All the kids caught fish and had a good time.

BCW Picnic- We had a great turnout, we’d like to thank Jill for finding enough fish.

Summer League- Branden gave a report, they had 16 teams and are looking forward to doing it again next year.

BCW Foundation- The foundation is applying for a NRA Grant to help fund the high school trap teams

Deer for the Food Pantry- Goose will be chairing it again this year, there are funds available for deer to be donated.

Sheyenne River Cleanup- Hi Line Prairie Gardens and Beautification Committee are organizing a river cleanup day on September 21st

Big Spenders Raffle- We had a great turnout at the banquet.  Thank to everyone that came out that evening.  

BCW Summer Derby- Summer Derby will be on June 7th and 8th.  We are over half full.  The applications are available online.  If you’d like a paper application text Josh your name and address 701-840-5269.

BCW Scholarships- Recipients will be announced at the May Meeting.

Road Cleanup- Road cleanup us scheduled for April 30th if you plan to go, but weren’t at the April meeting please let Perry know.

Pheasant Chicks- If you are interested in raising pheasant chicks contact Perry 490-1797.

BCN Archery- BCW will be donating $1000 to the archery team at Barnes County North.

Hope Page Archery- BCW will be donating $1000 to the archery team at Hope Page.

Take a Kid Fishing- Landon Hill said they are planning to have Take a Kid Fishing on June 5th

Prairie Waters- BCW is donating $1000 to Prairie Waters.

Fish River Walleye League- There will be a summer fishing league on Lake Ashtabula.  For additional information check them out on Facebook or email fishriverwalleyeleague@gmail.com   

VC Trap Club- Todd gave a report at the April meeting on the club, if anyone is interested in helping to get archery portion going please contact Landon Hill.
