BCWF Predator Hunt: 2 coyotes were brought in, totaling 50 pounds. 1st: Nate McGough and Casey Wieck, one dog at 25.3 pounds (tie breaker determined by time checked in), 2nd: Braden Wenaas and Bryan Tykwinski, one dog at 24.7 pounds.
High School Trap League: TJ held a second meeting; around 30 students have shown interest. They have had 10 register online so far. They will be shooting on Sunday afternoons from 1 – 3 pm.
North Dakota Winter Show: We are having a booth again this year at the Winter Show March 10th-12th stop by and renew your membership if you have not had a chance to do so yet. We will have some information from the Game and Fish and a picture slide show of events throughout the year. We still need some volunteers, especially on Thursday and Friday. Please call Josh Holm if you can volunteer 840-5269.
NDWF Automobile Banquet: The banquet is April 2nd at the Valley City Eagles. There still some tickets available, contact Perry for tickets 490-1797.
RMEF Banquet: Their banquet is 4/9 in Jamestown, see Swampy for tickets.
Land Owner Appreciation: Lewis Legge brought a letter that he would like to use for acknowledging landowners that have enrolled in the new CRP program. We are looking at sending out this thank you letter along with a small gift to the landowners.
Spring Advisory Board: The meeting for our district will be March 29th in Jamestown at the NDFU Building, at 7 pm.
VCSU Scholarships: The application is attached to the email and also available at L&H Shoe Shop and Perry also has some. The deadline to turn in applications this year is April 1st.
Hunters Ed: Next class starts in March. Class dates will be 14th,17th, 21st, 24th,and 31st. Contact Skip Pederson 845-3211 with questions
Archery Reminder: The Archery Club has a new facility for its members located at 1025 4 Bottle Drive in the northwest industrial park between Drug Plastics and the Barnes County Municipal Airport. Shooting times are Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 7pm to 9pm. For more information call Neil Pederson at 840-0173.
Summer Derby: Applications have been mailed out, if you are interested in fishing the derby and haven’t before contact Perry.

ATTENTION FISHERMAN
Reminder, the poster says no vehicles on the ice after 11:30.
We will allow atvs, utvs, and snowmobiles to remain parked on the ice, but there will be absolutely no driving them during tournament hours or you will be disqualified from the tournament.
That means no driving them to bring in fish, run to the bathrooms, or to go up to the bar.

Regular Meeting…Wednesday, January 13th…Valley City Eagles Club…7 PM…NO MEAL
The pheasant tail contest will take place before the meeting. Bring in the whole tail and make sure it is thawed.
Gas and Grocery Raffle Tickets- Please turn tickets into Perry or bring them with to the Membership Drive. The drawing will take place that night.
Election of Directors- Elections were held at the December Meeting. All directors were up for re-election and were unanimously re-elected. The directors are Bob Maresh, Jay Holm, Gary Will, and Matt Sorenson.
Ice Fishing Derby – Will be held on January 16th at Sibley. Ice is building slower this year and conditions likely will not allow vehicles on the ice the day of the tournament. If you have a permanent ice house you want to use during the derby plan on putting it out on the ice the night before the derby or sooner. Unless things drastically change we will not be letting pickups out on the ice in the fishing area! We will have ATVs available to help haul people and their gear out to the ice during the tournament. There will be updates on KOVC and our Facebook page before the tournament.
High School Trap League – BCWF will be donating $3,000 to the trap league this year
NDWF Pickup Banquet – Will be April 2nd at the Eagles. Contact Perry for tickets, they are going fast.
Artificial Garland- We will be doing the perch spawning rings on Ashtabula again this year. Please save any artificial garland you were planning on throwing away for the club.
Jr Naturalists- Will be held on January 20th, the project will be bird house building.
