Please help us sell the gas and grocery raffle tickets. The drawing will be held in January. You can turn the tickets in to Perry at Rural Water or to Jill at the Shoe Shop. If you can sell more tickets contact Perry 490-1797

Buck Show – The buck show will be November 22rd at the Valley City Eagles. The contest is open to any ND deer taken this season by bow or rifle, by a Barnes County resident or BCWF member. Deer need to be brought in the SE door between 6 and 7:30. If you would like to help with the buck show contact TJ 490-0929.

Election of Directors- The election of directors will take place at the December meeting. There is an open spot, Jay Holm is stepping down. If you are interested or would like to nominate someone let Perry or another board member know.

Hides for Habitat- We will not be accepting donations this year.

Deer for the Food Pantry – If you would like to donate a deer you can drop it off at Valley Meats.

NDWF Representative- Matt Maresh will be stepping down as the club’s rep. If you are interested in being the club’s representative let Perry know.

Pheasant Tail Contest – The pheasant tail contest will take place before the January Meeting. Please bring in the entire tail section from the pheasant.

NDWF Convention- The convention will be January 7th, 8th, and 9th in Bismarck. If you are interest in going please let Perry know.

Winter Derby – The Winter Derby will be January 15th in Sibley.

BCW Predator Hunt- The hunt is scheduled for February 12th

Sheyenne Valley Calling Contest – The hunt is scheduled for January 22nd..

BCW Fun Night – We will be having the fall banquet and auction on October 29th at the Valley City Eagles.  Early bird tickets are available and need to be turned in by October 15th.   If you can help out that night let Perry know.

Faust Dam Shelter- We ended up moving the shelter intended to be used at Moon Lake to Faust Park because the roof was wider than the base.  There will be a new shelter made to be put up next year at Moon Lake. 

NDWF Convention- The convention will be January 7th, 8th, and 9th in Bismarck. If you are interest in going please let Perry know.

BCN Tri-County Trap- The club donated $1,000 to their trap team.

NRA Grant – The BCW Foundation is getting a grant for $5,300. The funds will be going to the VCHS Trap Team and the BCN Tri-County Trap Team.

Summer Derby- Congratulations to Brandon and Jerad Caulfield for winning the 2021 BCW Walleye Tournament with a total weight of 29.55lbs. Full Results below

Moon Lake Picnic Shelter- The new shelter is being put up on 8/31.

Thundering Saints Raffle- We partnered with the Thundering Saints on a raffle this summer. Results are listed below.

South Eckelson Access- Kjelland Construction & NDGF put a new landing in on the west side. Access from I-94 Eckelson exit, 1 mile S & 1.5 E.

Tree Tubes – Dick Monson has some free 4′ tree tubes with stakes. If any members would like them contact Dick, 840-2610.

Summer Derby- The summer derby will be June 12th and 13th. Perry could use some more volunteers. Please contact him if you have time to help.

Pheasant Chicks- The club ordered 2500 pheasant chicks this year for 14 different raisers.

VCHS Trap- The trap team has 23 kids going to the state competition this year.

Moon Lake Picnic Shelter- The shelter should be up soon.

Hunter Ed- There will be a class this summer. Once the dates are confirmed I’ll send out an email.

Thundering Saints Raffle- We are partnering with the Thundering Saints on a raffle. They received one of the NDGF whitetail deer tags. Raffle tickets are available to buy or let Perry know if you would like to help sell some of them. If you would like to buy raffle tickets, but haven’t had a chance to purchase any in person you can venom $20 per ticket to Josh-Holm with your Name, Address, and Cell Number or Email.

Summer Picnic – Will be at Dacotah Pavilion, in Chautauqua Park at 6:30 on August 11th. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. Bring your own beverage if you would like something other than pop or water.

BCW Scholarships- 2021 scholarship recipients are Breann Hanson, Jacob Knapek, Noah Schaeffer, Bridger Pulver, and Kaden Krause.

Big Spender Banquet- The banquet was on April 10th. We had a great turnout for the event, 220 people were fed. The club netted $15,000. Don Olson of Fingal won the Polaris Ranger. Other winners are on the following page.

Road Cleanup- Road Cleanup will be May 5th. Meet at the Fish Hatchery at 5 or as soon as you can. Perry needs a head count for food. If you weren’t at the last meeting, but plan on helping please let Perry know by 5/1. Perry’s number is 490-1797.

Summer Derby- The summer derby will be June 12th and 13th. If you are looking to get in the derby and haven’t fished it in the past there is an application available on our website. Perry could use some more volunteers. Please contact him if you have time to help.

Summer Camps- Bonita Roswick came to the April Meeting to talk about the camps at Prairie Waters. There are flyers available on our website.

VCHS Trap Team- TJ said they have 32 trap shooters this year and 32 skeet shooters.

Pheasant Chicks- The club ordered 2225 pheasant chicks this year. They will be picked up at 5:30 pm May 27th.

Perch Rings- George Freadhoff said that has enough perch rings this year. They will be out on Ashtabula.
